Dr. Elijah is a Ph.D. student with the feed safety team at Kansas State University. Her research focuses on African swine fever virus characteristics in feed and feed mill environments, atypical porcine pestivirus distribution and characteristics within swine production systems, and the efficacy of decontamination methods utilized in semi-truck cabs. Another portion of her work evaluates how fomites utilized in feed delivery systems can aid in the spread or introduction of viruses into swine production systems.
