Jiehua Xiong, originally come from China, is currently a Ph.D student in ruminant nutrition at Unversity of Nebraska-Lincoln. Jiehua got his Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Animal Science from the South China Agricultural University and grew a deep interest in the animal industry. After graduation, he worked for one of China’s largest animal-producing companies for four years and then attended the Feedlot Management Internship program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, both of which gave him a very intimate look at the beef industry. Jiehua enjoys working with cattle and their nutritional needs, as well as getting to know the people within the industry. Knowing that there is a huge demand for beef in China and the production level has potential for improvement, Jiehua hopes to be able to work within the beef industry of China some day in the future.
