Lilli Heinen is a dual degree DVM/PhD student studying at Kansas State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. She is in the second year of her DVM program and is finishing up the first year of her PhD program at the Beef Cattle Institute. Her research interests involve Bovine Respiratory Disease in feedlot cattle. Her current work focuses on the analyzing the relationship between BRD risk factors and morbidity in the feedlot using modern data analytic strategies. She hails from Bergish Gladbach, Germany but was raised in a small town in Kansas. She hopes to complete her DVM in 2024 and finish up her PhD the following year. Her future career goal is to work in contract research for a feedlot consulting company.
