Sarah is a third year PhD student with Dr. Laura Greiner at Iowa State University. She is from Columbus Indiana and completed her Bachelor's degree at Purdue University and her Master's degree at the University of Kentucky with Dr. Merlin Lindemann. At the University of Kentucky, Sarah collected data on the growth and development of visceral organs, energy stores, and small intestine morphology in pigs from birth through the nursery. Her current research is looking at vitamin A, beta carotene, and the immune system in nursery and finishing pigs.
