Hello, my name is Joel Kieser a current Master's student at South Dakota State University, and my research has focused on finishing pig performance while being fed a diet supplemented with a yeast product. The goal is to see if these yeast products enhance digestibility of finishing diets to allow for less nutrient dense diets while still maintaining finisher pig growth performance. In the future, I will be conducting trials investigating a postbiotic in sow gestation/lactation diets to improve sow health as well as overall offspring viability and growth performance.
