Dr. Neal Matthews is an applied meat scientist at PIC where he works globally to help PIC customers realize genetic potential of PIC genetics with regards to pork carcass composition and quality. Neal has worked with slaughter plants in twenty-five different countries. Prior to PIC, Neal was a technical services manager with Smithfield Foods and Premium Standard Farms. Neal conducted a post-Doctorate and completed his PhD and MS degrees at Louisiana state University with a research focus on nutritional manipulation of pork carcass composition and quality.
