Dr Wendy Rauw has an MSc from Wageningen University & Research in The Netherlands, and a PhD from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). She has been a Research Scientist at the IRTA in Spain, and a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Nevada - Reno in the USA before starting at INIA-CSIC in Madrid, Spain, where she is a Senior Research Scientist since 2010. The main lines of her research encompass sustainable livestock production, feed efficiency and resource allocation, animal breeding and genetics, and animal behavior and welfare. Her current research is focused on sustainable pig production, and since 2021 she is also part of the research and conservation program of local poultry breeds at INIA-CSIC.
