Graduate Research Assistant
Kansas State University
Manhattan, Kansas
My name is Jenna Chance and I am a Master's student with the Kansas State University Applied Swine Nutrition group. I grew up on a sow and diversified crop farm outside of Lebanon, Indiana. I completed my Bachelor's degree in December of 2019 with a major in Animal Science and a minor in Agronomy from Kansas State University. My Master's degree research has been focused on alternatives to zinc oxide in the nursery and combinations of live yeast and yeast extracts on nursery pigs weaned from sows fed diets with or without a live yeast and yeast extract on growth performance and antimicrobial susceptibilities of fecal E. coli. I will be wrapping up my Master's degree in July 2021 and will be seeking employment in the swine industry.
