Logan, Utah
Hello, my name is Lillian Okamoto and I am an undergraduate research assistant for Dr. Kara Thornton at Utah State University.
I was born and raised in Hawaii and made my way to Logan, Utah three years ago to study animal, dairy, and veterinary sciences with an emphasis in biotechnology. I am fascinated by the world of science and how technology is evolving to aid in our understanding of the complexity of life. After finishing my bachelor’s degree, I intend to continue my education to earn a Ph.D. in animal genetics and ultimately pursue a lifelong career in genetics research.
