My name is Thomas Dobbins, I grew up outside of Baltimore, Maryland where I fostered a passion for animal science. Following high school, I moved to Athens, Georgia to begin my Bachelors degree at University of Georgia. While in Athens, I worked full-time as an equipment manager for the football team, while concurrently working on my degree in animal science. I graduated with my Bachelors in May of 2020 and began my Masters program in Fall of 2020 at Mississippi State University under the mentorship of Dr. Derris Burnett where my thesis was titiled "The effect of maternal melatonin supplementation during mid to late gestation on offspring muscle growth and development in swine". Begininning in June 2022, I started a PhD under Dr. Jerrad Legako at Texas Tech University.
