Dr. Alexis Siomka, Ph.D receieved her B.S. degree of Animal Sceince at Michigan State Univeristy. She compelted her M.S. as well as her Ph.D in Meat Sceince and Muscle Biology at North Dakota State University. Currently, Dr. Siomka is a professor at the Univeristy of Findlay in Ohio. She is mainly responsible for the meat science and food safety courses taught within the Animal Science Department. She also intrscutors the Introductionary to animal sciene course and teaching professional development to seniors and freshman level students. Previous areas of research focused on the influence of red meat in the diet and how it effects major public health concerns such as obesity and diabetes on adolescent growth as well as pregant individals.
