I am a professor at the national university corporation, Kagoshima University. I received his B.Sc, M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in the Department of Animal Science from Kyushu University (national university corporation), Japan in 1988, 1990, and 1997, respectively. After graduation, I became an assistant professor and then an associate professor who belongs to graduate school of agriculture, at Kuju Agricultural Research Center, Kyushu University. I am studying functional anatomy, nutritional physiology, and management of Japanese Black cattle (Wagyu). My research topic is “creation of beef production system by using metabolic programming effect in Wagyu. First I studied the marbled beef of Wagyu and its production system. I consistently worked at Kuju Agricultural Research Center, Kyushu University (University Farm). I also started to study the ICT management system of grazing or grass-fed Wagyu in 2001. He moved to Kagoshima University, as a full professor in 2017. I was awarded by the Japanese Society of Animal Science for research entitled “Histochemical Properties of Skeletal Muscles in Japanese Cattle and Their Meat Production Ability” in 2001.
