Graduate Student
Department of Animal and Range Sciences, Clayton Livestock Research Center, New Mexico State University
My name is Mackenzie Smithyman, and I attend New Mexico State University, where I am a master's research graduate and teaching assistant in the animal and range science department. In June, I will be defending my thesis on the effects of supplemental water source and trace-mineral based electrolyte drinking solution on the performance and health of newly received feedlot calves. Then in the fall, I will start my Ph.D. under Dr. Duff at NMSU with a focus in ruminant nutrition and receiving health.
