Andrea Connor is a recent graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Animal and Poultry Sciences. Her research under Dr. Rebecca Cockrum looks into the effects of different factors on colostrum volume and quality in dairy cows, as well as the effects of colostrum on calf health and immunity. She is very excited to be a presenting author at this year's conference and is looking forward to future publication with the lab as their research continues. Andrea will be attending veterinary school this fall and plans to eventually pursue a career in public health and research veterinary medicine.
