My name is Dina Linde and I am from the University of Pretoria in South Africa where I completed my BSc and MSc degrees and am currently finishing my PhD. I find it really interesting how various factors such as nutrition, genetics, microbes and the environment can influence the phentoype of the animal. I investigated the effect of different energy diets on the gene expression of different breeds in my MSc while my PhD investigates the effect of different additives on the rumen microbiome of Bonsmara cattle.
