Lorik Tamazian obtained her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Delaware’s Department of Animal and Food Sciences. During her undergraduate program, she supported research in the area of dairy cattle nutrition. Lorik currently is pursuing a Master of Science in Animal Science from the same department. She is working under the direction of Dr. Erin Connor in the area of gut physiology in poultry where she is using intestinal organoids of poultry as a model to investigate the effects of phytochemicals on gut barrier function and inflammation.
