Felipe Xavier Amaro was born in Brazil where he completed his bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences from the Universidade Federal de Vicosa in 2016. He got his Master's degree in Animal Sciences with emphasis in Ruminant Nutrition from the Department of Animal Sciences at the University of Florida in 2018. He started his doctorate program in the same institution in 2019. Since then he has been working on identifying strategies to improge nitrogen utilization efficiency in dairy systems as the main focus of his doctorate dissertation.
