I'm Sathya Sujani, a doctoral candidate from the Department of Animal and Poultry Science, Virginia Tech, USA. I'm currently in my 3rd year of PhD and planning to graduate in Spring 2023.
My research focus falls under broad area of ruminant nutrition. My PhD work involves evaluating varying degradability of fiber and protein would affect the rumen fermentation end products, rumen fluid dynamics, volatile fatty acid dynamics and rumen microbial profile both in fluid and solid portions. In addition to this research focus I have worked on network analysis approach to understand rumen functions in a holistic approach and also meta analysis to investigate up how variations in dairy production efficiency can be explained by dietary and rumen fermentation variables.
