Work Experience:
Currently working as Attending Psychiatrist, at Saint Elizabeths Hospital, Washington DC. I am involved in teaching medical students, nursing students and doctors in the Psychiatry Residency training program. Each year I teach a seminar of 7 lectures covering the general concepts in addictions; teaching about specific drugs and its management to PG Y -1 doctors in residency training.
Worked as the medical director at Laurel Regional Hospital, Dept of Psychiatry (January 2007-December 2007.) I have extensive experience working with schizophrenic patients, patients with mood disorders, patients with PTSD and other anxiety disorders, Personality disorders and dual diagnosis, substance abuse and detoxification. I have special training and license to prescribe buprenorphine (Suboxone) to opioid dependent patients since 2004.
