Anja Busse is a Programme Office at the Prevention, Treatment and Rehabilitation Section of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Vienna, Austria. She has been involved since 2005 in the implementation of UNODC’s global projects on drug use disorder treatment and care in different functions. Anja is a Psychology graduate (University of Berlin, Germany) and hold a master in Public Health (Medical School Hanover, Germany). he has further training as a Systemic Psychotherapist and in Media Pedagogics. Her current functions include the coordination of UNODC’s global projects on drug use disorder treatment and care, including the UNODC-WHO Programme on Drug Dependence Treatment and Care, which includes the development and dissemination of UNODC technical guidance documents and supervision of country level support for UN Member States in their efforts to improve quality and accessibility of drug use disorder treatment.
