Anthony Alvarado is on a mission to rid the world of hopelessness by empowering others to strive toward their full potential. He is the founder and Chairman of the board at RISE TOGETHER, a non-profit that is on a mission to prevent addiction by educating, engaging, and empowering youth to use their voice for change, breaking the silence around addiction and mental health.
Often seen as a disruptor, Anthony is one of the most sought-after speakers today. Since the fall of 2013, he has traveled over 300,000 miles, taken the stage more than 350 times, and spoken to 225,000+ people in various settings. He started with one goal: to help save lives. By 33, Anthony has already been identified by FORBES as a movement builder and featured with his team, RISE TOGETHER, and their work to inspire hope. Work also starred in Huff Post, USA Today, NPR, PBS, NBC, ABC, CW14, FOX, and more.
As a speaker, Anthony speaks to audiences from all parts of the community and has worked with state and local organizations including public schools, businesses, prevention coalitions, police departments, including such groups as SAMHSA, NSC, NAADAC, ATTC, HHS,
Anthony has been recognized for his recovery by James Carroll, Director of the White House Office of the National Drug Control Policy. Also for his commitment to humanity and expertise by Senator Tammy Baldwin, for leading change and decreasing stigma statewide in Wisconsin from Rep. John Nygren, for preventing addiction in youth by Rep. Amanda Stuck and received the honorable "Exemplary Service" award from The Outagamie County Pre-Action Network.
With his team, he has received an Official Proclamation from Appleton's Mayor Tim Hanna to recognize September 12 as "Rise Together Day" to honor Rise Together's dedication to the community. Because of his extensive community work, Anthony is the recipient of the 2020 Ripon Area School District's Distinguished Alumni Award, which illustrates the value of a life of service to others.
