Safiyya Zaidi (B.S.) is a third year medical student at Dell Medical School at UT Austin. She graduated from the University of Houston with a B.S.
in Honors Biomedical Sciences and a Minor in Chemistry and Medicine and Society. Safiyya chose to pursue medicine because of her experience volunteering at Texas Children's Hospital and observing a life-saving fetal surgery while shadowing. She is planning to pursue a career in OBGYN. In her free time, she enjoys ice skating and listening to baseball podcasts.
