Ishika Patel is a junior majoring in Neuroscience on the pre-medicine track at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a student research assistant at Dr. Li Li’s lab where her focus is on opioid-related research. She is currently concentrated on the impact of opioid misuse and opioid use disorders before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
