Caroline Wunsch, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Brown Alpert School of Medicine in Providence, RI. She received her medical degree at Brown Alpert Medical School in 2016 and completed her internal medicine residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA in 2019. She obtained her certification as an HIV provider in December of 2019. Currently, she works as an internal medicine physician providing HIV primary care, Hepatitis C care and treatment for substance use disorders. Her research and clinical interests involve innovative models of care to increase access to care for marginalized groups and low threshold models of care for the treatment of opioid use disorder. As a part of this work, she has collaborated with local organizations that focus on healthcare for justice-involved populations and people experiencing homelessness, with a focus on linkage to primary care, harm reduction services and substance use treatment.
