Stephanie Nichols, PharmD, BCPS, BCPP, FCCP is an associate professor in the UNE School of Pharmacy, adjunct assistant clinical professor of psychiatry in the Tufts School of Medicine, a Board Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist, and a member of the Lunder-Dineen Time to Ask alcohol advisory committee. She has over 15 years of experience providing direct patient care and interprofessional teaching. Nichols is passionate about reducing stigma around psychiatric conditions and substance use disorders and has presented to interprofessional audiences across the country. In 2016 she was awarded the Cardinal Health Generations RX Champions Award for community education around nonmedical use of prescription drugs. Nichols has co-authored over 30 publications in journals including Pharmacotherapy, Pain, Current Psychiatry, J of Psychopharmacology, J of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs, and Psychosomatics. She serves as a voting member on the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review’s New England Comparative Effectiveness Public Advisory Council and on the Maine Medical Professionals Health Program advisory committee. She is also a senior editor for the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists Psychiatric Pharmacy Review Book and a consultant for the SAMHSA-funded Opioid Response Network.
