Joseph B. Williams, MD, FASAM is associate professor of psychiatry with the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, located in Chapel Hill. Dr. Williams serves as medical director of the UNC WakeBrook Addictions Detoxification Unit as well as director of correctional psychiatry for the UNC Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Williams is involved in training UNC psychiatry residents and UNC addiction medicine fellows. He has had manuscripts published in several peer reviewed journals. Dr. Williams has board certifications in psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, and addiction medicine.
