Alexander Zozula, MD, FAEMS currently serves as EMS Medical Director for Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, IL as well as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Family and Community Medicine for Southern Illinois University SOM. He previously served as an Associate Regional Medical Director and Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine for Baystate Health in Springfield, MA. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis and completed an emergency medicine residency at the Stanford/Kaiser program before completing an EMS fellowship at the University of Cincinnati. His clinical and research interests include the prehospital treatment of patients with mental health conditions and substance use disorders.
