Psychiatry Resident

Dr. Patel is originally from India, where he obtained his medical education and then moved to the US in 2016. He graduated with a Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in epidemiology and biostatistics. Currently, he is a PGY-3 psychiatry resident at the Oklahoma State University and is fast-tracking to continue with a child/adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Duke University. He is one of the recipients of the APA research colloquium (psychopharmacology track), AACAP data blitz young investigator award, and has been honored as an NIMH Outstanding Resident in 2021. His research focuses on pediatric mood disorders and substance use, and he is passionate about inpatient quality improvement.
