Medical Director
Adams Clinical
Daniel Rutrick, MD is a psychiatrist and the medical director of Adams Clinical. He graduated in 1967 from the City College of New York. He earned his medical degree and completed his residency in 1974 at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. Following his residency he moved to Boston to become a chief resident in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and the Assistant Director of In-Patient Psychiatry at Mount Auburn Hospital. In 1975 Dr. Rutrick established a private psychiatric practice focused on treating chronic pain, mood disorders, and substance use disorders. After the FDA’s 2009 draft guidance calling for more attention to suicidal ideation and behavior in clinical trials, Dr. Rutrick established Adams Clinical, which is now the industry’s largest outpatient psychiatric research facility.
