Sarah Casey is a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Substance Use Disorder Initiative at Massachusetts General Hospital. While in this role, Ms. Casey has focused on the intersection of harm reduction strategies and clinical practices. Prior to joining MGH, Sarah worked at syringe service and overdose prevention programs in Massachusetts where she focused on street-based outreach and education. Sarah has been practicing harm reduction for almost a decade. Ms. Casey also has a passion for public health policy and is a founding member of an advocacy group pushing for safe consumption spaces in Massachusetts. Sarah obtained a bachelor’s degree from American University where she doubled majored in Law & Society and Women and Gender Studies.
