Dr. Desai is an associate professor of cardiovascular surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his subspecialty training at the University of Toronto and a post graduate aortic fellowship at Penn. He is currently Co-Director of the Penn Aorta Center. Dr. Desai also serves in several national leadership positions within the field of cardiovascular surgery and is the current co-chair of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons Aortic Surgery Task Force. He also maintains an active clinical research program and holds a cross appointment to the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics at Penn. He is the author of over 100 publications within the field of cardiovascular medicine.
