A board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon, Dr. Hui completed her medical education and general surgery residency at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, followed by cardiothoracic surgical training at The University of Southern California. She is an Associate Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at UT Health San Antonio where she also serves as Associate Program Director of the Thoracic Surgery Residency program. Her clinical interests include multi-arterial grafting and aortic surgery, of which she has served on a number of guideline writing committees. Her community service interests include advocacy, serving on the STS PAC Board of Advisors and current President of the Board of the San Antonio Chapter of the American Heart Association. A native of Texas, she is a graduate of The Juilliard School and was a violinist in the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra before changing careers.
