Mary C. Russell, MN, RN, FNP-BC, CNOR, is a nurse practitioner with responsibility for plastic and reconstructive surgery, and providing patient care for admission/discharge, clinic, and all surgical orders for her patients. She sees patients in clinic and, if indicated, will schedule them for surgery. She will also provide any treatment needed pre- or post-op. She is a member of her medical center nursing research committee and a past president of Columbia River Region AORN. Mary has served as the chapter workshop chair, program co-chair for the Oregon State Council, serves on the regional committee for Universal Protocols for the metro area, and has helped develop global methods for patient safety. Mary has served for two years as the Region VIII membership representative, two years on the National Legislative Committee, four years on the National Research Committee, and two years on the CEAC committee. She most recently served 2 years on the NLDC ,the last year as chair. She has served on the OSCPN program committee for the last seven years and continues to serve currently.She serves her chapter on the BOD for the last 3 years. Russell received her CNOR in 1982 and is also certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
