Malinda Elammari is a Clinical Education Specialist for Healthmark Industries. She began her career in the medical field as a Surgical Technologist specializing in Open-Heart surgery. Throughout her career, Malinda has served in a variety of positions in SPD, such as Interim Director of Education and Quality at the Medical University of South Carolina, Sterile Processing Educator and Quality Control Manager for Duke Raleigh Hospital, and the lead instructor for the Central Sterile program at Durham Technical Community College. She holds multiple certifications in sterile processing through CBSPD and IAHCSMM. Malinda is a graduate of Duke’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship program and Duke’s Technical Excellence Program. She is a TeamSTEPPS Master trainer and is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Malinda is an active member of AAMI and sits on several national standard writing committees as well as the Editorial Board for BI&T magazine. Malinda currently serves as president-elect for the North Carolina IAHCSMM chapter, NCAHCSP, and is a project manager for KiiP’s Aseptic Presentation subgroup. Malinda served as the US representative for the Medical Packaging Conference 2020 and is the recipient of the Diane Fink Outstanding Leadership in Central Services Award.
