Amy Woods, DNP, RN, CNOR is the Chief Nursing Officer at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery. She is enjoying a 37-year career with HCA that began at LGHM as an OR nurse. Amy obtained her Doctorate in Nursing Practice Executive from Radford University., Radford, VA. Amy has presented professionally many times including at Lehigh Health System, AORN, Magnet, and HCA GME on a variety of topics.
As the CNO, Amy is accountable for the delivery of safe, quality care provided to patients, the care experience, and evaluating community needs. Amy is engaged in community service as she firmly believes if you can, you should. She has served internationally leading several teams to provide care in Haiti.
Amy’s greatest pleasure is making a difference in the lives of others whether it be patients, the community, or as a mentor to those seeking professional and personal growth. She has been recognized as a mentor within HCA and chosen to support the professional growth of future executive leaders.
As a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, Amy has deep roots and is frequently suspected of being related to most everyone. Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with family, including two grandsons that she considers a pathway to payback.
