Leigh Anne Bartlett, MSN, RN, CNOR has been a nurse in the OR/Central Sterile Processing environment for over 15 years. As director of patient care services, she leads initiatives focused on evidence-based surgical practice and standardization, not only in her small, rural community hospital, but leads initiatives as chair of the OR Coordinated Group within a large health care system in eastern North Carolina. She became actively involved in AORN in 2007 and has attended AORN's annual conference many times, serving as a delegate each time. She has served as chapter treasurer, chapter president-elect, chapter president, and chapter secretary. She has also served as North Carolina's AORN State Council treasurer, chair-elect and currently serves as chair. She is an active member of AORN's Scholarship Committee. Leigh is an active member of the AORN National Legislative Forum and has attended AORN-sponsored legislative events with the North Carolina Legislature. She is a past recipient of an AORN Foundation scholarship, an active member of the Leadership Specialty Assembly, and 2019-20 Chair of the Leadership Specialty Assembly.
