Ms. McGovern is currently the Performance Improvement/ Patient Safety Coordinator for The Valley Health System in Ridgewood, NJ. In her role she provides support for Robust Performance Improvement throughout the hospital, home care, and hospital owned physician practices. In addition, she coordinates safety initiatives including High Reliability Education, Safety Coach implementation within the system, and performs Root Causes Analysis as part of a larger safety team. Ms. McGovern is nationally certified in healthcare simulation and team training. Prior to her work in safety and reliability, she was the Clinical Practice Specialist for Women and Children’s Services where she implemented many national recognized safety bundles including Post-Partum Hemorrhage, Maternal Early Warning Systems, and Hypertension. Ms. McGovern recently completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice with a concentration in Professional Leadership.
