Dr. Sasan is a research scientist, docent and associate professor in the division of Sustainable Buildings at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. His research is focused on infection control in hospitals. Dr. Sasan received a PhD in Applied Fluid Mechanics in 2016 from KTH Royal Institute of Technology. He graduated in 2012 from Linkoping University with a Master of Science in Applied Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics. He did his first postdoctoral fellowship at the Danish Building Research Institute, Aalborg University, Copenhagen. He completed his second postdoctoral fellowship at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Sasan is primarily interested in studying Multi-Phase Flow, real-time simulation and visualization, fluid structure interaction, fluid particle dynamics, physics and chemistry of indoor air pollution, heat and mass transfer using various numerical methods.
