Ashley Anderson started her perioperative career in 2010 as a new graduate nurse in the Operating Room in Southern California. In 2013, she began her leadership journey and served as a charge nurse and was later promoted to surgery coordinator for neurosurgery. In 2015, she obtained her CNOR and continued her advancement to management. Ashley joined the perioperative leadership team at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and served as the clinical educator and then education manager. Her expertise includes on-boarding of new graduate nurses and experienced nurses who are transitioning into the perioperative practice, as well as professional development. Her passion lies within creative and unique ways to educate her team regarding evidence based practice changes within the specialty. In 2020 she joined the centralized education team as a nursing professional development specialist, and in 2021 she completed her MSN in Education. Ashley enjoys applying theoretical frameworks and teaching theories for implementing creative educational experiences for low volume, high severity events within perioperative services.
