Kezia Windham is a registered nurse with 18 years of healthcare and risk management experience. Her clinical experience, at the UCHealth's University of Colorado Hospital, includes perioperative nursing with a focus on cardiothoracic and transplant surgery. In addition, Kezia’s risk management experience includes claims management, peer review, facilitation of adverse event review, and legal nurse consulting, as well as teaching at the University of Colorado College of Nursing in the role of clinical scholar. In her tenure as a healthcare provider, Kezia has published and presented on topics related to multidisciplinary collaboration in the OR, preventing retained surgical items, nurse residents in the OR, Allied Health Professionals and Open Notes.
