Ms Dunn is the Field Director for Ambulatory Healthcare and surveys the standards in the Comprehensive Accreditation Manuals for Ambulatory Care and Office Based Surgery Practices. Prior to joining The Joint Commission, Ms Dunn held several successful positions in perioperative leadership including hospital and free standing ambulatory surgery programs. In addition to staff positions, Ms Dunn served as a perioperative clinical educator, manager and director. She has served most recently as Director of Perioperative Services and Laboratory, and Acting Chief Nurse Executive for a hospital in Florida. Ms Dunn holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Masters of Business Administration. She has been a active member of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) since 1998, and has served in various local chapter board positions including chapter president. Other memberships include the American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International and Phi Kappa Phi.
