Dawn has worked as a clinical nurse for over 35 years in Perioperative Services encompassing Hospital ORs, pre-op, post-op, PACU, Endoscopy, Ambulatory Surgical Centers, and Nursing Education. Working as part of multi-professional teams in England, Germany, and the Middle East, and as Adjunct Clinical Faculty for undergraduate nursing programs, she understands the needs of different patient populations.
As a Nursing Professional development Specialist for Perioperative Services in Yale NewHaven Health System, Lawrence+Memorial Hospital CT. Her current position encompasses 10 hospital-based ORs, GI department procedural area, and one satellite ambulatory surgical center. She is an active member of the AORN CT chapter and the Holistic Nursing Society. Dawn is also a certified registered yoga teacher, yoga4cancer certified, and an Aromatherapist.
