Annissa L. Cromer has her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Public Health, with a total of 19 years of experience as a Perioperative Nurse. She gained eight years of valuable clinical experience while working at various Level II trauma hospitals through Los Angeles County, CA, as well as maintained national certification as CNOR since 2004.
In 2009, she received a direct commission into the US Navy Nurse Corps that has afforded her to many clinical and leadership opportunities, other than being a perioperative staff nurse. Experiences include being a Clinical Educator and Instructor, Infection Control Officer as well as the sole Perioperative Nurse onboard two Navy Ships, USS BATAAN and USS PELELIU.
Throughout her experiences in the operating room, she has mentored numerous nurses, both military and civilian, which directly contributed to more than eight nurses that have obtained their national certification, CNOR. Currently, Annissa Cromer is committed to providing safe patient care while assigned to the Main Operating Room at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton.
