Rita Lanaras, BS, RN, CNOR, has been employed by Overlook Medical Center, Atlantic Health System, for more than 20 years. She graduated from Rutgers University with a BS in nursing, she is a member of AORN, and is a CNOR. Rita is also a Six Sigma Green Belt and is LEAN trained. As nursing coordinator and clinical analyst, her responsibilities include software implementation, site education, data collection, auditing, utilization reporting, build design, build process, and testing as well as developing standards for Perioperative processes to enhance productivity, documentation, and reporting. She colloborates on projects that involve various computer software products that drive charging, utilization, OR scheduling, materials management and nursing documentation.
