Nicole Cook RN, MSN
Nicole is the current Operating Room Manager for GU GYN CRS and Robotic services at Ochsner Medical Center – Jefferson Highway Campus. Nicole started her nursing career in 1998 as a Med-Surg nurse in a small community hospital in Sodus, NY. She transitioned into Perioperative Services in 2002 at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse NY and began her leadership journey with the department in 2003 as the clinical lead for GU GYN and General Surgery. Her career progressed to serve as Nursing Supervisor for Upstate Medical Center as she received her BSN in 2009 and faculty and later Director of Nursing Education, at Utica College after receiving her MSN in 2011 from Roberts Weslyan College in Rochester NY. She received the Umeschandra Patil education award in 2018 as Clinical Educator for the OR at Crouse Hopital for her work on the development of a Perioperative Glycemic Protocol. Nicole moved to New Orleans in 2019 to take on the role of Clinical Coordinator for GU GYN CRS services for Ochsner Medical Center and was promoted 7 months later to her current role as nurse manager. She is the lead for the Pressure Ulcer Core Group at Ochsner Medical Center and is a member of AORN.
