Ayumi Fielden, MSN, RN, CCRN-K, CPAN is a Perianesthesia Professional Practice Leader for Houston Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center. Ayumi started her nursing career in general ICU and expanded her skills, knowledge, and experience during her career to include Cardiovascular Recovery, Surgical ICU, Neurosurgical ICU and PACU. She has coordinated the PACU Nursing Residency Transition to Practice Program at Houston Methodist Hospital since 2018, as well as many other perioperative and critical care initiatives. Ayumi has lectured on various topics in conferences both nationally and internationally in an effort to share her experience and knowledge on evidence based practice and research initiatives with the nursing profession. She has also served on ASPAN national committees such as policy and procedure, finance, and education approver committees. Further, Ayumi has received many awards throughout her career including Outstanding New Graduate Nurse, Good Samaritan Awards, and Top 150 Houston Nurses for Houston Chronicle Salute to Nurses.
