I started my nursing journey at Clarkson Clarkson, where I graduated with my BSN. I began my career a new a graduate nurse in the cardiovascular ICU at Nebraska Medicine. Since, I have transitioned my practice to the operating room at CHI Health CUMC-Bergan, while completing my DNP Creighton University. I will graduate with my DNP in the adult gerontological acute care track in May of 2022.
In my role as an operating room nurse, I accepted a leadership opportunity to serve as my department's neurosurgery resource coordinator. I am very passionate about surgical outcomes and implemented my DNP project in the surgical services department, where I work. I am an active member of AORN and Sigma Theta Tau, both of which I sit on the board of directors. I look forward to utilzing my advanced practice skills to further my career in a surgical specialty upon graduation.
