Megan K. Nolan, MSN, RN, CNOR, CSSM, is a clinical coordinator at Boston Children’s Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts. She earned an associate degree in nursing from Normandale Community College, Bloomington, Minnesota; a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Massachusetts Boston, Massachusetts; and a master of science in nursing from Benedictine University, Lisle, Illinois.
Nolan has been a perioperative nurse for 15 years and a member of AORN for 12 years. She is a member of Northeast Pediatric Cardiology Nurses Association (2014-present), the Leadership Specialty Assembly (2017-present), Massachusetts Chapter I (2019-present), Massachusetts Nurses Association (2019-present), American Organization of Nurse Leaders (2019-present), and Sigma Theta Tau (2020-present).
Nolan has attended Congress three times in the past 10 years, each time as a delegate. Nolan has received a Preceptor Award, AORN Massachusetts Chapter I (2015). Highlights of Nolan’s service to AORN include that she is the chair of the Leadership Specialty Assembly (2021-present), secretary of Massachusetts Chapter I (2019-present), and communications chair of Massachusetts Chapter I (2019-present). She has been chair-elect of the Leadership Specialty Assembly (2020-2021), practice chair of the Leadership Specialty Assembly (2019-2020), and education chair of the Leadership Specialty Assembly (2017-2019).
