Simone Snead serves as the Mission Programs Manager with March of Dimes Mom and Baby Action Network (M-BAN). Simone is the project lead for the National Equity Framework Guide, which was designed to disseminate the strategies and solutions of the National Equity Framework. Prior to her role at March of Dimes, Simone was the Maternal Mortality Review Community Action Team Coordinator and Health Equity Co-lead with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, Division of Maternal, Child and Family Health. At PDPH, she assisted in the development of Organizing Voices for Action, a cross-sector coalition designed to carry out the recommendations of the Philadelphia Maternal Mortality Review Committee. Simone is dedicated to decreasing the racial disparities in maternal and infant health. Simone is a birth and postpartum doula as well as a Certified Lactation Counselor. Some of her greatest accomplishments are supporting families as they experience the beauty of birth.
