Allyson Baughman has been the project director of the Catalyst Center (the National Technical Assistance Center for Health Care Financing and Coverage for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) since January 2019. She has over 14 years of experience in program evaluation and public health research on a range of topics, including food insecurity, chronic homelessness, gender-based violence, the needs of lesbian, gay, and bisexual cancer survivors, Community Health Worker programs, and health care financing. She received a Master of Public Health from the Boston University School of Public Health, and a Ph.D. in public policy and public affairs from the McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. For her dissertation project, she studied the impact of work requirements under welfare policy reform in 1996 on the health of low-income single mothers.
